Every hunting program is fully customizable according to your group’s preferences, desired species, flight connections, and any additional activities you would like to include during your stay.
Guests may choose an intensive dove-only program with morning and afternoon shooting or combine dove hunting with ducks, pigeons, perdiz, forest perdiz, or big game.
Commercial flights between Buenos Aires and Santa Rosa are subject to Aerolíneas Argentinas’ schedule. Many guests choose to spend one night in Buenos Aires, enjoying the city’s outstanding restaurants and attractions before continuing to La Paloma Lodge.
Private ground transportation and direct charter flights to our private airstrip can also be arranged.
THE ITINERARY
DAY 1
Arrival in Argentina and Transfer to the Lodge
Personalized reception at Ezeiza International Airport. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a domestic flight to Santa Rosa that same day or spend the night in Buenos Aires and continue to La Pampa the following day. Upon arrival in Santa Rosa, you will be transferred by private vehicle to La Paloma Lodge, located approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from the airport. Your first evening will include a gourmet welcome dinner, drinks, and a complete briefing on the hunting program.
DAY 2 - 7
Dove Hunting Days
Each morning begins with a complete breakfast before departing for one of our carefully selected dove hunting areas. Upon arrival, your guide will position you according to the birds’ flight patterns and shooting conditions. A dedicated field assistant will remain with you throughout the hunt, providing ammunition, refreshments, guidance, bird counting, and assistance reloading a second shotgun when requested. After an intense morning session, you may return to the lodge for a gourmet lunch and time to relax or enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue served in the field. The afternoon hunt will take place in another carefully selected location, following the movement of the birds to provide continuous and varied shooting opportunities. Your program may also combine doves with ducks, pigeons, perdiz, or forest perdiz. Every evening concludes with a chef-prepared dinner, premium beverages, and stories shared by the fire.
DAY 8
Final Hunt and Departure
Enjoy breakfast followed by a final morning dove hunting session. After the hunt, private transportation will be provided to Santa Rosa Airport, Ezeiza International Airport, or your selected hotel in Buenos Aires, according to your departure itinerary.

Dove hunting in Argentina is available throughout the year, providing exciting high-volume shooting during every season.
For guests interested in combining different experiences, we especially recommend the period from March through August. During these months, dove hunting may be combined with Argentina’s red stag rut or with seasonal bird hunting opportunities such as ducks, pigeons, perdiz, and forest perdiz.
Every program is planned according to current bird movements, field conditions, and applicable provincial hunting regulations.

The Eared Dove (Zenaida auriculata) is the species behind Argentina’s legendary high-volume dove hunting.
Its extraordinary adaptability and abundant populations create intense flights across agricultural fields and natural roosting areas. Fast, agile, and constantly changing direction, the Eared Dove provides challenging shots from every angle and keeps even the most experienced wingshooters fully engaged.

SHOTGUNS
For bird hunting, we have new shotguns from the Benelli and Beretta brands, available in both 12 and 20 gauge. In addition to being able to attach stock extenders and customize them to your fit, we also have shotguns for left-handed shooters.
In the Benelli brand, we offer the M2 and M1 models.
In the Beretta brand, we have the A400 Xplor Kick Off model (this system reduces recoil by 70% when firing the shotgun).

LICENSE
Rancho Salvaje Safari manages the required hunting licenses and provincial permits for every guest. Before your arrival, our team will request the necessary personal information and documentation to ensure that everything is prepared for the beginning of your hunting program. We also provide guidance throughout the process of temporarily importing your personal shotgun into Argentina or arranging the rental of one of our lodge firearms.
