HUNTING TIMES

The hunting season in Argentina depends on the species being hunted. However, the main season usually takes place between March and August, when hunters can combine both big game and small game hunting.

During this time of year, the first cold days begin, the fields become more active, and the Red Stag rut creates one of the most exciting moments of the season.

TAXIDERMY OR TROPHY PREPARATION

We offer two options for trophy preparation.

⬤  OPTION 01 — TAXIDERMY IN ARGENTINA - The first option is to have the taxidermy work completed in Argentina with our trusted taxidermist, Gustavo, a highly experienced professional and one of the most recognized taxidermists in the country. Since he works mainly with Argentine species, the final results are of excellent quality and highly recommended.

Once the hunt is completed, the hides and skulls are properly prepared, cleaned, and bleached. The trophies are then sent to the taxidermist, who completes the work according to the client’s preferred mount or preparation style. Once finished, the trophy is sent to the export broker, who will contact the client directly to coordinate the paperwork and international shipment.

⬤ OPTION 02 — TROPHY PREPARATION FOR EXPORT - The second option is to prepare the trophies for export without completing the taxidermy work in Argentina. In this case, we properly prepare the skin, skull, and necessary trophy parts, and then send them directly to the export broker. From there, the broker contacts the client to coordinate the shipment, allowing the final taxidermy work to be completed in the client’s home country.

FIREARM RENTAL

For small game hunting, Rancho Salvaje Safari offers high-quality shotguns from Benelli and Beretta, available in 12 and 20 gauge. Our shotguns are semi-automatic, including Benelli M2 models and Beretta A400 Xplor Kick-Off models.

Firearm rental must be requested in advance so we can properly organize the shotgun, gauge, and appropriate ammunition for each hunter.

BRINGING YOUR OWN FIREARM

Hunters who wish to bring their own firearms to Argentina must notify our company in advance and complete the required temporary firearm entry process.

This procedure must be arranged through the Argentine Consulate before traveling, following the regulations established by the corresponding Argentine authorities.

Each hunter must provide the necessary firearm information, including make, model, caliber or gauge, serial number, passport details, and flight information.

Our team will assist with the documentation required for the hunting program and will accompany the hunter through the airport process upon arrival.
